Chapter 173 - Reverse Opening The Five Wheels

Chapter 173 - Reverse Opening The Five Wheels

All of the other Qi Practitioners followed the common order to open the realms of Wu Xing, Wan Xiang, Shen Cai, Yin Yang and lastly Dao Yi. In each and every step, they would have to possess sufficient cumulative cultivation base to break through and open the next realm.

And now, Xin Huo had just told him that after the reverse opening of Dao Yi Realm, he could open all of the other realms without spending too much time in culminating his cultivation base — it was absurdly beyond the common cognitions of the Qi Practitioners!

But he makes sense too, the Dao Yi Realm is the hardest of all five realms, if one could’ve reverse opened the Dao Yi Realm, how can the other four realms be of concerns anymore?

Xin Huo sat on Zhong Yue’s Yuan Shen shoulder, dangling his little legs, “Even if you’ve reverse opened all five realms, it wouldn’t increase your cultivation base by much, you would still be in the early-stage of the Awakening level. Opening the realms are merely tantamount to opening doors. You can only be considered to be at the peak once you have cultivated all five realms to the extremity. Right now, there is still a huge gap between you and the ordinary Awakening Qi Practitioners who had opened all five realms.”

Zhong Yue assented to him, through the normative methods, the cultivator would cultivate the previous realms to the extremity before breaking through and opening the next realm; and when all five realms were opened, they would essentially be at the peak of the level of Awakening due to the fact that they had to cultivate all their previous realms to the extremity before opening the next realm. Hence, they would only be half a step away from the level of Atman Body.

But he took the reverse opening route, causing all of his realms to be more or less the same size; he would need to spend more time in cultivating the newly opened realms to the extremity.

Zhong Yue thought and said, “But if all the five realms are opened, I can then cultivate them in parallel at the same time, my cultivation speed would be four or five times faster than the other Qi Practitioners, saving me more time!”

Xin Huo nodded, “That’s right, this is the forte of reverse opening the realms, stronger in prowess, and faster in cultivation speed. Or otherwise, why would there be any need to open the realms in reverse when there is added risk? If it didn’t make you stronger and faster, you might as well just take the conventional route like all the others!”

Zhong Yue recollected his thoughts, he did not rush himself in cultivating but instead, he started off by collating the cultivation knowledge and insights from the monster saint city Shi Buyi in his mind. He searched for the insights Shi Buyi had when he was in the level of Awakening, cultivating the five realms.

He did not have much knowledge on the realms of Wan Xiang and Shen Cai and was afraid that he would not be able to open the two realms, hence, he was looking into Shi Buyi’s insights, subsuming them and corroborating them with his own so that he could open the two realms!

Shi Buyi had held back and did not teach him all the insights regarding the 【Monster God Ming King Art】. However, the insights about the Wan Xiang Realm and Shen Cai Realm were fully passed over to him.

How strong and deep were the insights of such an otherworldly strong cultivator. Zhong Yue studied them carefully and meticulously, gaining a lot of knowledge from it. Moreover, he had also studied through Shi Buyi’s insights in the other three realms.

How magnificent this is, Shi Buyi … a cultivator that on par with the headmaster of Swords Gate. His insights have allowed me to shorten my cultivation time by two whole years!

Zhong Yue could not help but praise in his heart. The monster magnate, Shi Buyi was truly impressive; there was so much knowledge and insights that it took Zhong Yue quite some time to understand them.

One that can be an overlord of a land, would definitely not be a mediocre figure.

He closed his eyes, preparing for the opening of the Yin Yang Realm!

If I were to reverse open all five realms in one shot, Elder Feng would surely be shocked and overjoyed to death! he thought to himself.

Meanwhile, Qiu Jin’er had finished feeding her stomach and in her embarrassment, she kept the jade bottles that occupied the whole bed. Furtively glancing at Zhong Yue, she found the young man sitting in the lotus position, revealing only one side of his body in her eyes, she saw an unyieldingly strong-will that belied the immature features of his face.

He is still just a young boy…, Qiu Jin’er thought to herself.

“You are saying that, that Zhong Shan Clan member from the Great Wilderness is extremely strong, nearly undefeatable in the level of Rebirth?”

In the supreme celestial temple of Xiao Mang Celestial Race, one after another, the celestial white-robed priests sat in the door-shaped shrines, whereas beneath them were the disciples of the Xiao Mang Celestial Race.

The celestial disciples were personally taught by these white-robed priests, their prowesses were incredibly strong and some of them were even nearly as strong as their teachers themselves, only half a step away from the level of elders!

The high priest frowned and said, “That Zhong Shan Clan member’s prowess, how strong is he? Just a Rebirth Qi Practitioner of the human race, even if he is strong, how strong can he possibly be?”

Below, rays flashed in one of the celestial disciples’ eyes as he yelled out loud, “That’s right! How could I be deemed weaker than him if we had not dueled before? How can my defeat be declared so early, if we have yet to even battle?”

The white-robed priest that attended Zhong Yue and the others replied solemnly, “This human’s prowess is equivalent to a Wan Xiang Awakening Qi Practitioner of the celestial race! Xiao Chuwen, when I say that you are no match for him, then you aren’t. Your prowess has yet to reach to the peak of the Rebirth level, even slightly weaker than Long Yue of the East Barren by a fine line; and yet, this Zhong Yue of the Great Wilderness is a fine line stronger than that Long Yue — if you engage with him in a battle, the only ending for you would be death!”

Xiao Chuqing clenched his teeth and gave a cold sneer. He had seen the images of ‘Long Yue’ executing the bloody massacre on the street - it was utterly terrifying and shocking. He once thought that Long Yue himself along sat atop the peak of the level of Rebirth, and he regarded himself to be only a slightly weaker than Long Yue. Hence, he had strived to make himself stronger, trying to reach to the peak in the level of Rebirth.

And yet, as of now, the elder priest was saying that there was a human that went by the name of Zhong Yue who was even stronger than that dragon Long Yue. He was simply unable to swallow the indignation in his heart, especially since they had not even fought before.

However, never once would he have thought that the Long Yue who he was trying surpass was in actuality, Zhong Yue himself!

The white-robed priest continued, “High priest, I say we give up on the level of Rebirth in order to spare Chuwen from dying in his hands.”

The high priest locked his brows, moments later he said, “We will discuss this matter later. How about the strength of the others from Swords Gate, have we acquired enough information about them?”

“Yes, we have.”

The white-robed priest softly clapped his hand. A winter-like young lady walked out from the shadows, and she said smilingly, “Walking in the celestial temples of a celestial race, looking at the statues of my old enemies; my little heart can’t help but pound with unease.”

“Tian Myriad Mother … her existence will be regarded as the greatest secret of our celestial race against the Swords Gate, none other than us can know about it!”

The high priest glanced around, he then said placidly, “Tian Myriad Mother, have you found out about the strength of all these disciples and hall masters from Swords gate?”

‘Shui Qingyan’ took out a pile of scrolls and replied, “The celestial messenger of Swords Gate has found out the extents of most of their prowesses, however, this Zuo Xiangsheng has learned some other techniques external to the ones from Swords Gate. Even the messenger wasn’t sure about his true prowess.”

The high priest took over the scrolls and showed them to the elder priests, he said, “Find out their weaknesses as soon as possible, create techniques that can target those weaknesses and pass them down to the disciples.”

The elder priests nodded and took over the scrolls to study it. The scroll recorded the daily cultivation routines and battles of the Swords Gate hall masters and disciples, detailing every minutia of their skills and arts!

Furthermore, the scrolls also stated the strongest in each of the respective levels; Qi Feng in the level of Spirit Nurture, Zhong Yue in the level of Rebirth, Lei Teng in the level of Awakening, Zuo Xiang Sheng in the level of Atman Body, and Tian Yanzhong in the level of Inner Core!

Soon, the elder priests extracted the information and arranged them accordingly, presenting the fruits of their research to the high priest.

After reading through the scrolls, the priest smiled and said, “This Zuo Xiangsheng is an uncertainty, and so is this Zhong Shan Clan member. However, there isn’t a third uncertainty! We of the Xiao Mang Celestial Race will surely win three duels out of five, the Great Wilderness Swords Gate, is over! Xiaoshan, you are in the level of Spirit Nurture, I will leave Qi Feng to you. Step forward, take this scroll back and study it nicely. The elder priests have written down Qi Feng’s weaknesses and the ways to tackle him.”

A Xiao Mang celestial disciple stepped forward, took the scroll in his hands and returned.

“Xiao Chuwen, this scroll contains the information regarding the Zhong Shan Clan member, the information regarding his prowess is scarce and that makes it hard to deal with him. I will allow you to duel with him, but you will have to spend more time and energy to do your research and find his weakness. You are one of my disciples, I’ve no extravagant hopes that you can defeat him, but you mustn’t be defeated either, understood?”

Xiao Chuqing stepped forward, bowed and claimed the scroll.

“Xiao Jin, you will take the scroll of Lei Teng.”

A female celestial stepped forward, bowed and took the scroll while the high priest said smilingly, “Although this Lei Teng is weak, you are not strong either as you’ve just opened the Dao Yi Realm and acquired the Dao Yi Wheel. If it weren’t for the fact that there aren’t many Dao Yi Awakening Qi Practitioners in our celestial race, you wouldn\'t be selected either. You will need to study hard about Lei Teng’s weaknesses just in case he possesses certain means that managed to escape the messenger\'s notice.”

Xiao Jin nodded, bowed and returned.

“Xiao Chushan, come forward, take this scroll of Zuo Xiangsheng and study him. You are also one of my disciples, I don’t ask for victory, but I don’t want to see defeat either!”

“Xiao Qingfeng, take the scroll of Tian Yanzhong, his prowess must not be underestimated, although he has just advanced into the level of Inner Core recently, you must not let your guards down.”

Abruptly, ‘Shui Qingyan’ stepped forward and said smilingly, “Why don’t the high priest send me to battle with Zhong Shan Clan member, this way, our odds of winning are higher! With my true form, I can easily defeat the Zhong Shan Clan member and kill him dead on the spot!”

The high priest cast his gaze at her, shook and answered, “You are our secret weapon against Swords Gate, it’s not the time expose you yet. Tian Myriad Mother, you may leave now.”

In the room, Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin’er sat down quietly, unbeknownst to them, the sky had turned bright and dark again with the Xiao Mang celestial temples lightening up the mountain.

The next day morning, the young lady took out another jade bottle and quietly chewed the Wu Qi Pellets in fear of waking up Zhong Yue. Not long later, the sounds of footsteps could be heard approaching the door. Tian Yanzhong faked a cough outside of the room and said, “Junior Martial Brother Zhong, Junior Martial Sister Qiu, are the two of you awake yet?”

“Yes, we are.”

When Qiu Jin’er was about to get down from the bed and she saw Zhong Yue opening his eyes and walking to her side. He curled his hands over the back of her body and carried her to the wheelchair. Qiu Jin’er was shocked and her face blushed red in shyness.

Zhong Yue pushed the wooden wheelchair to the door while Qiu Jin’er opened it; Tian Yanzhong was standing right at the door, and they quickly said smilingly, “Good morning, Hall Master Tian.”

Tian Yanzhong nodded while measuring the duo with his eyes, the expression on his face turned eccentric as he saw Qiu Jin’er’s little countenance blushing coquettishly in red. He slightly squinted his eyes as he asked probingly, “Today is the day we of the Swords Gate will duel with the Xiao Mang Celestial Race. Junior martial brother, Junior martial sister, do the two of you have enough energy for the upcoming battles?”

Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin’er were both puzzled, not knowing why he was so concern about their energy.

Tian Yanzhong faked a cough again and he said, “Let\'s go, we’ll meet up with the others. Elder Feng hasn’t appeared for two days already. It seems like he has been tangled, however, no matter what, he will have to appear today.”

Zhong Yue nodded and thought to himself, Elder Feng must be feeling like a cat on a hot tin roof by now…
